Cet évènement a été organisé en collaboration avec L'Original Festival, l'association qui prévoit la plupart des évènements liés aux rap et au hip-hop à Lyon.

Battle des Nuits : le hip-hop envahit Fourvière par leprogres

Au départ: 4 crews français affrontent 4 crews US. Les équipes s'affrontant sont tirées au sort et un jury composé de deux bboys et une bgirl est chargé de définir le vainqueur de chaque round.

Du côté des teams US : Beast Coast from New York, MF Kidz from Orlando, Ground FX from Boston and Bboyworld from Sacramento and from Jacksonville.

Du côté des teams FRANCE : Tekken de Lyon, Espada de Paris, les Vagabonds de Paris et Street Element de Marseille. Le premier round confronte la team Bboyworld (US) aux Vagabonds (FRANCE).

Les Vagabonds sont champions du monde de breakdance 2011 mais la team US Bboyworld qui n'a pourtant que 3 danseurs pour ce show (au lieu de 4 pour toutes les autres équipes) prend vite le dessus et remporte le round.

Dès la première confrontation le show des danseurs de Bboyworld est tellement impressionnant qu'on devine qu'ils seront présents en finale. Les rounds continuent et on découvre à chaque fois des bboys pleins d'énergie qui nous offrent un véritable spectacle. Le public lyonnais est souvent d'accord avec le choix du jury mais certains crews sont difficiles à départager. Lorsque les tekken sont désignés vainqueurs contre les Beast Coast le public s'indigne et la team part sous les huements de la foule.

En finale, ce sont deux teams US qui s'affrontent: Bboyworld contre Ground FX. Ce sont finalement (on l'avait deviné) les Bboyworld qui l'emportent!

La soirée s'est très bien passée, le public était content d'être là et il y avait une véritable ambiance de fête. On a même eu droit a un show de qualité de human beatbox par Kosh.

Last Sunday was the final battle between France and the USA during the Festival of Nights from Fourviere to Lyon. This event was organized in collaboration with the Original Festival, an association which provides most of the events related to the Hip-Hop community in Lyon.

To set it off, 4 French crews faced 4 crews from the US. The teams battle it out in front of a jury composed of two B-boys and a B-girl who are responsible for picking a winner for each round.

The US teams: Beast Coast from New York, MF Kidz from Orlando, Ground FX from Boston and Bboyworld from Sacramento and from Jacksonville.

The teams from FRANCE: Tekken of Lyon, Espada of Paris, the Vagabonds of Paris and Street Element of Marseille.

The first round found Bboyworld (US) competing against the Vagabonds (France). The Vagabonds are the 2011 world champions but Bboyworld, who only had 3 dancers for this show (instead of 4 like the other teams), quickly took the top spot and won the first round. Bboyworld was so impressive that we guessed that they'd be present at the final round.

The rounds continued on with great moves and energy; we were given a real show! The public is often in agreement with the selection of the jury but some crews are difficult to sort out. When the Tekken were designated as the victors against the Beast Coast, the public was outraged and the team was forced to bend to the judgment of the crowd.

In the final round, we saw Bboyworld battle against Ground FX. As we had guessed, Bboyworld prevailed!

The evening was very good, the public was content to be there and there was a real party atmosphere. Overall, we were highly impressed.
